You may be someone who thinks that you’re the only one in the whole wide world with horrible anxiety symptoms. Without exaggerating, many millions of people throughout the world at this given moment are going through exactly the same symptoms that you are experiencing. Anxiety disorders affect about 18% of the adult population, causing them to be filled with fearfulness and uncertainty. It is helpful to know that you aren’t the only one going through the painful anxiety that you currently experience.
Support groups are also referred to as self-help groups. Come join a support group led by an experienced facilitator and therapeutically communicate with people who understand what you are
experiencing and sharing practical insights that can come only from firsthand experience. In the group each member supports one another by providing various practical methods or strategies they have used that has worked for them.
Members of a support group have found that in addition to professional therapy, sharing stories and meeting others with anxiety can be very therapeutic.
