Do you want to find a way to meditate which is effective, simple and yet deeply profound? Mantra meditation is the use of words and phrases which are repeated silently during meditation practice with the aim and purpose to create focus and stillness within.
During a typical mantra session, the facilitator will pick the mantra for the session and provide an explanation of what the words mean (if they are not in English). You will then be guided throughout the meditation to support you and bring you back on track in case your mind wonders.
By using a mantra, the mind is given a focus through a word or phrase which when repeated for a period, eventually creates a place of stillness and calmness. The thoughts and wondering mind starts to slow and quieten down.
