Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and the surrounding environment.
Mindfulness also involves acceptance, meaning that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without judging them—without believing, for instance, that there’s a “right” or “wrong” way to think or feel in a given moment.
When we practice mindfulness, our thoughts tune into what we’re sensing in the present moment rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future.
About Facilitator :
Sarkis Keshishian is a Wellness Coach and Educator.
Sarkis holds a degree in Clinical Psychology and has been certified and trained in various therapeutic techniques, and modalities, all of which are geared towards personal development and self-realization. He also has a vast experience in business management, training, educating and executive coaching.
Sarkis has been fascinated by the human mind, which has led him to study the nature of the mind through exposure to different modalities and school of thoughts.
His approach is gentle, through holding a safe space for the client to experience the present moment the ”here and now” that holds infinite possibilities of health, wellness, which acts as a catalyst towards change and growth.
