Support groups are also referred to as self-help groups. These are groups of people who gather to
share common problems and experiences associated with a particular problem, condition or a personal circumstance. Come join a support group led by an experienced facilitator and therapeutically communicate with people who understand what you are experiencing and sharing practical insights that can come only from firsthand experience.
“Your teen does not seem to stick to curfew, Your teen seems to detest you, Your teen seems to be
glued to social networking sites, You don’t approve of your teen’s social circle” – Do any of these seem to be where you are unsure of what to do, how to deal or are feeling that your relationship with your child is not the same as before?
As painful as it is to accept sometimes, our children are born to move away from us. There is a sense of grief that goes along with this; I’ve experienced it myself- The Empty Nest Syndrome. It’s important to remember that this work of caring for our children while they are constantly separating from us and becoming individuals can be stressful and demanding. It’s difficult for parents to figure out what is right; and the truth is, there really isn’t a “right” answer all the time.
It’s important to accept that there are choices to make, and that choices often come with anxiety.
Join us to know how to adapt with ease to this ever changing role of a “parent”.
– Pre-registration is required
– Minimum of 3 participants are required in order for group to run
