Healing the Father Wound Group Session

The father wound, which refers to father absenteeism, whether emotionally or both emotionally and physically, and/or your father being very critical, negative, and even abusive character, can impact individuals and their future relationships in so many ways.

The effects of the father’s wound are farther reaching than what many would suspect. It touches everything from marriage to addiction, from education to behavior, and new evidence even suggests it can affect us genetically. The impact is multi-layered. One’s communication with oneself and others gets compromised and can lead to unhealthy relationships in one’s adulthood. 

What will you learn (experience)? 

In this session, the facilitator will elaborate to the participants the understanding of the layers of the impact of the father wound. Then with guided imagery, visualization, and internalization, the fragmented inner child/sub-personality of the unhealed self will be acknowledged and honored to enable the participant to heal and integrate that part of himself/herself.

Who is it for?

Anyone who is facing difficulties and recursive issues in the realms of relationships and communication, career and money issues, patterns with authority, can gain from this session. Closure and understanding, release, letting go, and allowing the self to heal this primary influencing bond can deeply add to one’s quality of life and relationships and help the participant shine brighter in various aspects of their lives.
